Tani Brown '10 Named Legend Of Ivy League Basketball

PHILADELPHIA –Tani Brown '10 will be the female representative of the 16-member inaugural class of Legends of Ivy League Basketball.

Each member of the Ancient Eight is represented by one male and one female honoree, as selected by their university athletic department.
Four legends will be formally honored at halftime of each semifinal game at the 2017 Ivy League Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments on March 11 at The Palestra in Philadelphia. Brown will be recognized during the Tigers' game vs. Harvard on Saturday.

Brown is the Director of Account Management for Jopwell, a leading career advancement platform for Black, Latino/Hispanic, and Native American students and professionals. At Jopwell, she is focused on building a strong pipeline of talented, diverse candidates and partner companies from across the U.S and has been featured in USA Today, Ebony, and the Huffington Post as an avid contributor to workforce equity and diversity issues.Â

She graduated from Princeton in 2010 with an A.B in Religion and a Certificate in African-American Studies. Prior to Jopwell, Brown began her career at Google managing advertising technology products for retailers' clients like Staples, ToysRUs, and Bloomingdales. In 2013, she was selected to complete a Fulbright Fellowship in northern Vietnam where she taught the English language and theater to Vietnamese college students before returning to the U.S. and joining Jopwell.
Tani sits on the junior advisory board for College for Every Student in New York, a global leader in helping K-12 students from low-income rural and urban communities access college and career readiness.Â

She participated in 65 games during her career at Princeton. She served as a co-captain during her senior campaign in which she appeared in a career-high 22 games as the Tigers won the Ivy League championship.
