Women's Golf Team Finishes Third at Georgetown Hoya Invitational

Posting the best finish of the four Ivy League teams in the field, the Princeton women's golf team finished third Tuesday at the Georgetown Hoya Invitational at the Members Club at Four Streams in Beallsville, Md.
South Florida won the tournament at +35, 10 shots better than Georgetown and 11 in front of Princeton. Georgetown's Alexa Popowitz won the tournament at +3 by a single stroke over Yale's Jennifer Peng, while Alison Chang, playing as an individual, was the top Princeton player, tying for eighth at +9. Maya Walton was the top player in Princeton's scoring four, tying for 13th at +10.
The tournament was the last for Princeton before the Ivy League Championship heads to the Orange Tree Golf Club in Orlando, Fla., beginning April 21.Â
