Reynolds Named Suburban Transit GPT Athlete of the Week

For helping lead the Princeton softball team to a four-game sweep at Penn as part of a 5-0 week, senior Marissa Reynolds has been named the Suburban Transit GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week.
Reynolds went 8 for 15 (.533) on the week, adding four walks for a .632 on-base percentage and hitting a double and a home run to slug .800. She had three multi-hit games during the week, closing the Penn series by going 3 for 3 with a home run, two walks and three runs scored in the Tigers' 12-8 win in Sunday's finale.
Nationally, Reynolds ranks 10th in on-base percentage (.560), 11th in slugging percentage (.849), 13th in batting average (.452) and 24th in doubles per game (0.34).
The Tigers, winners of seven in a row and 14 of 17 to stand at 18-13 overall and 10-2 in the Ivy League, leading the Ivy South by three games over Columbia. The Lions will come to the Class of 1895 Field for four games this weekend, Saturday and Sunday doubleheaders beginning at 12:30 p.m. Admission is free.
