Harvard Defeats Women's Tennis in Ivy First-Place Showdown

The winner of Saturday's match between the Princeton women's tennis team and Harvard knew it'd be one win Sunday away from the Ivy League championship.
Harvard gained that advantage by taking the doubles point and the three singles matches it needed Saturday afternoon in Cambridge, getting a 5-2 win.
The Crimson stand at 5-1, and a win over Penn Sunday will clinch the outright Ivy title and wrap up the NCAA bid. Princeton is at 4-2 along with Dartmouth and Cornell.
Harvard took the match with the doubles point and wins on the first three courts. Nicole Kalhorn earned Princeton's first point with a win on court five and Gaby Pollner had the second with a tiebreak third-set win after she split the first two frames.
Princeton will battle Dartmouth in the regular-season finale Sunday at 1 p.m. in Hanover.
