Grant Earns Softball Team's Third Straight Ivy Player of the Week Honor

Kaylee Grant hit .714 in Princeton's four-game sweep of Brown and Yale to open the Ivy League softball season, and for her efforts, she has been named the Ivy League softball Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks.
Grant, who is one of four Tigers hitting better than .350 on the season, has raised her average from .270 to .352 over the last seven games by going 10 of 17 at the plate, adding in four doubles and three walks. The sophomore first baseman was a first-team All-Ivy League selection last season.
Against Brown and Yale, Grant went 5 for 7 with three doubles for a 1.143 slugging percentage and added three walks for an .800 on-base percentage as the Tigers swept Brown and Yale for the first time since 2008 and opened 4-0 in the Ivy for the first time since 2008.
Princeton has had players named Ivy League Player of the Week for three consecutive weeks, with Marissa Reynolds receiving the honor last week after Grant won two weeks ago. Princeton also saw Erica Nori, who went 2-0 this over the weekend with a perfect 0.00 ERA over 12 shutout innings, earn Ivy Pitcher of the Week two weeks ago and Megan Donahey, who is hitting .400 this season and hit .364 against the Bears and Bulldogs, earn Ivy Rookie of the Week on March 6.
Princeton will hit the field again Friday when it begins the Harvard-Dartmouth road trip to conclude Ivy North play.
