Seniors Tom Colautti and Alex Day and junior Luke Gamble earned All-Ivy League honors by vote of the league's coaches, the Ivy office announced Thursday.
Colautti and Day earned second-team singles recognition while Day and Gamble were second-team doubles honorees.
The singles honor was Colautti's fourth second-team recognition in as many seasons, making him the first Tiger to earn four All-Ivy League singles honors since Matija Pecotic '13. Colautti went 11-8 in dual matches including 6-3 at the No. 1 spot while winning a match over ITA No. 104 Brian Yeung of Harvard on court two.
Day earns his first All-Ivy singles recognition after posting 19 wins between the fall and spring seasons, going 8-7 in dual matches and 4-3 in Ivy duals. Day went 7-4 on court two and had two wins over ITA-ranked opponents, defeating Wake Forest's No. 88 Kam Maksim in the fall and Harvard's No. 121 Kenny Tao in the spring. Day was ranked No. 109 in the nation in singles in early February.
Day's doubles honor is his second, along with second-team recognition last season. A part of 23 doubles wins between the spring and fall, Day had a 14-9 doubles record in dual matches, all on court one. Gamble was also second-team All-Ivy in doubles last season. This year, Gamble was a part of 20 doubles wins and 14 in dual matches, going 13-8 on court one. Together, Day and Gamble were ranked by the ITA in September and October and throughout the spring season, peaking at No. 13 in early March. Day and Gamble earned Princeton's first bid to the NCAA doubles tournament since 2001 and will be competing there beginning May 24.
