Princeton Announces Men's Soccer 2017 Season Schedule

2017 Schedule
The Princeton men's soccer program will face 10 non-conference opponents, in addition to its seven-game Ivy League slate in the upcoming 2017 season. It will be challenging, with four teams being 2016 NCAA College Cup qualifiers.
The Tigers get right to work facing 2015 NCAA semifinalist Syracuse in the first game on Sept. 1. The Orange reached the third round last year, dropping a 1-0 game to North Carolina. Princeton continues its swing through Central New York, on Sept. 3 when it plays Colgate. The Raiders were also in the NCAA Tournament last year, winning the Patriot League, before dropping a 4-2 game at UCLA in the opening round.
Princeton takes on Seton Hall in the home opener on Sept. 7, in an afternoon game on Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium. A new opponent to the Tigers' schedule is Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, who will be in town on Friday, Sept 15 for a night game. The Cougars made a run to the sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament last year and will be in their inaugural season in the Mid-American Conference.
The squad hits the road for two games, first stopping at Boston University on Sept. 19 followed by Fairleigh Dickinson on Sept. 23.
Returning home, Princeton faces in-state rival Rutgers on Tuesday, Sept. 26 in a night game on Myslik Field.
The Ivy League calendar begins on Saturday, Sept. 30 in a game at Dartmouth, and continues on Oct. 7 at Brown. In between, the Tigers host Villanova on a Wednesday night, Oct. 4.
St. John's comes to town on Tuesday, Oct. 10 prior to the first home Ivy League contest against Columbia on Saturday, Oct. 14.
After traveling to Harvard on Oct. 21, the Tigers will play three of their final four games at home; Cornell on Saturday, Oct. 28, Drexel on Tuesday, Oct. 31 and Yale on Saturday, Nov. 11 will all be in Princeton, with the Penn game in Philadelphia on Nov. 4.
