Ben Gross Pitches In Coastal Plain League All-Star Game

Holly Springs, N.C. – Princeton Tiger Ben Gross pitched in the Coastal Plain League All-Star Game last night, representing the Holly Springs Salamanders.
Gross pitched in the second inning for the East All-Stars, striking out two in a scoreless frame. The East All-Stars took home a 2-1 decision.
For the season, Gross has 25 strikeouts in 16 2/3 innings for the Salamanders. In five appearances, he is 2-1 and has allowed one unearned run.
Gross was one of the top pitchers for Princeton in 2017, posting a 4.20 ERA in nine starts. He led the squad 48 strikeouts and was tied for the team lead in wins (three). He was second on the Tigers in innings pitched (49.1) and was one of two pitchers to toss a complete game.
