The 2017 ECAC Goaltender of the Year, Stephanie Neatby has been invited to participate in Hockey Canada's National Women's Development Team selection camp.
The camp will be held Aug. 6-13 in Calgary, with the 25 invited players participating in several practices and intrasquad games, as well as off-ice dryland training, fitness testing, and classroom sessions. The camp will also feature Japan's national women's program and a select team of U SPORTS players and the teams will begin competing against each other on August 8.
Following camp, Hockey Canada scouts, along with the team's coaching staff, will continue to evaluate players with their club teams during the 2017-18 season, in preparation for selecting the Canadian team that will compete at the 2018 Nations Cup in Füssen, Germany, in January.
"We're very excited for Steph!" Princeton head coach Cara Morey said. "She was a consistent factor in our success last season, and has worked hard to earned the opportunity to represent Canada at this level. We are proud of her and wish her luck at the upcoming camp."
Neatby was on the Canadian U22 Team last summer and on the U18 Team that won the silver medal at the 2016 IIHF U18 Women's World Championships.

She helped her team to the ECAC semifinals as she had a 6-2 record against ranked teams and posted four shutouts. During the season she set the Princeton record for saves in a game when she stopped 60 shots in a triple overtime quarterfinal game against Quinnipiac. She also holds the school single-season record for save percentage and GAA. She earned ECAC Goalie of the Week honors six times, Rookie of the Week honors once, was the ECAC Goalie of the Month in both December and January and was the first ever Hockey Commissioners Association National Rookie of the Month in January.
