Women's Tennis Team Set to Open Fall Season at ITA Hall of Fame Grass Court Invite

The first event of the fall season for the Princeton women's tennis team is set to begin Friday and run through Sunday in Newport, R.I., the home of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

Princeton, North Carolina, LSU and Florida will send players to the ITA Hall of Fame Grass Court Invitational for three days of competition beginning at 10 a.m. each day. Draws can be found here.

The field will be a challenging one. Florida, LSU and UNC have a total of eight players ranked in the ITA preseason top 125 singles rankings and four doubles teams ranked in the ITA preseason top 60.

Princeton will send senior Katrine Steffensen, junior Nicole Kalhorn, sophomore Gaby Pollner and freshman Stephanie Schrage to the event. Steffensen has earned All-Ivy League singles honors each of the last two seasons and Kalhorn was an All-Ivy doubles honoree last spring.
