Kong Leads Tigers Entering Fall's Final Round at Brown

Annie Kong carded a first-round even-par 72 to tie for third overall as the Princeton women's golf team is tied for third as the Brown Bear Fall Invitational heads into its final round Monday.
Kong, playing as an individual, is one of five players at even par. Brown's Pinya Pipatjarasgit leads the field at -2, one stroke in front of Albany's Megan Henry and two strokes in front of the group at even par.
Even without being able to count Kong's score as an individual, the Tigers are in contention, six strokes back of leader Fairleigh Dickinson. The Knights, at +9, lead host Brown by three strokes with Princeton and Quinnipiac next at +15.
Sophie Siminoff had an eagle on the par-five 17th hole as the lone Tiger to go two-under on a hole in Sunday's round. Monday's shotgun start will be at 9:15 a.m. at the Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk, Mass., with the five Tigers under the team banner starting over the first four holes and Kong starting from the 17th.
