Matt Payne Named NWPC Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Matt Payne has been picked as the Northeast Water Polo Conference Player of the Week. It's the third time he's been bestowed the honor.
Payne had a tremendous start to NWPC action, securing 10 goals, four assists, seven drawn ejections and two blocks overall as the Tigers went 2-1. Against MIT on Saturday, the senior snagged four goals and an assist as the Tigers dropped the Engineers, 14-7. He followed that up with three tallies, three assists and four drawn ejections in a 16-11 decision over Brown. In double-OT loss to Harvard, Payne recorded two goals and three drawn ejections.
