No. 12 Princeton Set For NWPC Road Trip

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 12 Princeton Tigers look to get back on the winning track as they continue Northeast Water Polo Conference action this weekend at MIT, Harvard and Brown.
The Tigers (9-4) takes on MIT (12 p.m.) and Harvard (7 p.m.) on Saturday (Oct. 6) before a contest vs. Brown (10 a.m.) on Sunday.
After St. Francis-Brooklyn's victory over Princeton on Wednesday, the Terriers (4-0) are the top team in the NWPC. No. 7 Harvard is also undefeated at 3-0, followed by Princeton (2-2), Brown (1-3), MIT (1-2) and Iona (0-4).
MIT is 5-6 overall and 1-2 in the NWPC. Miller Geschke leads the team with 28 goals and 42 points. The Engineers are a balanced offensive attack with six players scoring at least 10 goals. Harvard is 11-3 this season with victories over No. 7 UC-Davis and No. 3 California. Brown is 8-7 in 2018 with a highlight victory over No. 8 Pepperdine.
Matt Payne's 30 goals leads the Tigers' offense so far. The senior is up to 195 goals, four shy of Thomas Nelson for seventh all-time. He's added 116 assists in career, recently passing Jordan Colina '18 for fourth in program history. Ryan Wilson has 44 points, securing 18 goals and 26 helpers. He is the team's all-time leader in assists with 198, 60 more than the next closest player, Eric Vreeland '10.
Five other players for head coach Dustin Livtak's group have posted at least 10 goals this season. Another standout this season includes Keller Maloney, who's contributed 15 goals, 17 assists, 17 drawn ejections and nine steals. Ryan Melosini and Billy Motherway have shared the cage, securing 140 saves and .509 save percentage combined.
