Men's Golf Team to Meet Harvard, Yale in Tri-Match

Though multi-team tournaments have become the norm across college golf, the Princeton men's golf team will step away from that for a day and head to Rockaway Hunting Club in Lawrence, N.Y. Saturday for a tri-match against Harvard and Yale.

It'll be Princeton's first head-to-head competition since the fall of 2014, when the Tigers hosted Texas A&M at Baltusrol. It'll be the Tigers' first match against Harvard and Yale since the teams met in back-to-back years in 2010 and 2011.

The teams will compete in two formats. In the morning session, which will begin at approximately 8 a.m., the Tigers will send out a total of six players, as will Harvard and Yale, to compete in three two-player alternate-shot competitions. In the afternoon session to follow, each team will send out seven players for singles competitions.

The event is the second-to-last of the fall for the Tigers, who will make the quick turnaround to compete in Georgetown's Hoya Invitational in Beallsville, Md., Oct. 15 and 16.
