Princeton Gets Early Prep For Home Ivies, Will Welcome Four Schools For Weekend Big Al Invite

One week after an impressive opening sweep of both Florida Atlantic and Florida Gulf Coast, the Princeton women's swimming and diving team will welcome four other squads for the 2018 Big Al Invitational, which will take place over three sessions between Friday and Saturday this weekend. It will be an early test run for the Tigers, who will have a far bigger multi-team meet at DeNunzio Pool in February when Princeton hosts the 2019 Ivy League Championships.

Duke, Lehigh, Northwestern and Penn State will make their way to DeNunzio this weekend for the annual early-season meet in Princeton. Friday's sessions will take place at 10 am and 6 pm, while Saturday's session will begin at 10 am. Both the Friday evening and Saturday morning sessions will be streamed live on ESPN+ (see links above).

Princeton recently had its annual fall training trip during fall break, which ended with its tri-meet victory in Boca Raton. The Tigers had several individual winners, including reigning Ivy League champions Regan Barney and Joanna Curry, while junior Natasha MacManus took a victory in the 1-meter diving event.

The weekend will also mark the home debut for the Princeton Class of 2022, which includes Vivian Wang, the 100 fly winner from last weekend.

Below is the order of events for the weekend. All events will be timed finals; the women will compete first, followed by the men.
