Strong Performances Highlight Day 1 of Big Al Invite; Session 3 Set For ESPN+ Saturday At 10 AM

Men's senior co-captain Cole Buese won the 100 fly in 49.03, classmate Christian Feiler took the 50 free in 20.28, and women's captains Joanna Curry and Izzy Reis both posted Top-4 times in individual events to highlight an exciting Day 1 of the Big Al Invitational Friday at DeNunzio Pool.

Saturday's final session of the meet, which is slated to begin at 10 am, will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Feiler had Princeton's lone win of Friday's morning session, though the men's 400 medley relay of Buese, Corey Lau, Derek Cox and Murphy McQuet fell short of Duke by only .07 of a second in the final event of the morning. The top women's finish of the morning came by Curry, who took sixth in the 200 IM in 2:05.63.
Curry came back at night and took fourth in the 400 IM in 4:24.35, while Reis finished third in the 100 fly in 56.35. Buese was part of a pair of night wins; he joined Lau, Cox and Feiler to win the 200 medley relay in 1:30.85, and then he took the 100 fly.
