EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton is just one point away from clinching a place in the ECAC playoffs as it heads to Yale and Brown for the final weekend of the regular season. Currently the Tigers are in seventh place in the league standings with a 9-10-1 record and can finish anywhere between 5-9. Princeton enters the weekend with an 11-12-4 overall record and coming off of a win over No. 1 Clarkson and an OT loss to No. 8 St. Lawrence. Sophomore Carly Bullock, who scored both goals in the 2-0 win over Clarkson leads the offense with 24 points on 20 goals and four assists. She ranks seventh nationally in goals per game. Junior Karlie Lund and senior Kiersten Falck follow with 18 points apiece. Falck and junior defender Stephanie Sucharda both have the 15 assists, the most on the team. Sophomore Claire Thompson, junior Keiko DeClerck and freshman Annie MacDonald are all in double figures in scoring as well. Sophomore Stephanie Neatby has five shutout this season and has a .934 save percentage and a 1.76 GAA. Senior Alysia DaSilva owns a .940 save percentage and a 1.74 GAA in her six games played this year.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Yale is 9-14-4 overall and is 7-11-2 in the ECAC to sit right behind Princeton in the league standings. The Bulldogs went on a 6-1 run in January but hit a stumble losing the last four games - all against top-10 ranked teams. Freshman Greta Skarzynski has scored 14 goals and adds nine assists for 23 points. Senior defender Mally Souliotis has 23 points as well on a team-high 19 assists and four goals. Fellow blueline Julia Yetman adds 17 points and Emma Vlasic has 16. Sophomore Tera Hofmann and freshman Gianna Meloni have split goaltending duties. Hofmann is 3-7-3 with a .931 save percentage and a 2.37 GAA, while Meloni is 5-5-1 with a .929 save percentage and a 2.00 GAA.
THE PRINCETON/YALE SERIES
Princeton holds a 61-15-3 advantage in the all-time series with Yale since the teams first met in Dec. 1979. The Tigers topped Yale 3-0 on Jan. 12, as one of Princeton's four straight shutout victories. Carly Bullock scored twice, while Karlie Lund and MacKenzie able also had two-point games. Steph Neatby made 21 saves in the shutout. Yale's Tera Hofmann was chased from the goal after 12 saves on 14 shots. Gianna Meloni played the final 40 minutes and stopped 13 of 14.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
With a 2-25 overall record, the Bears are still rebuilding under season-year head coach Bob Kenneally. Brown has dropped the last 13 games in the schedule and are 1-19 in league play. Senior Sam Donovan and sophomore Sena Hanson have each scored eight goals and have 16 and 15 points respectively. Freshman Kaitijane Blumberg, senior Samantha Swanstrom and junior Cara Najjar follow up with 12 points apiece with Najjar putting up a team-high 11 assists. Sophomore Calla Isaac has started in 17 games in goal and has a .898 save percentage and a 4.07 GAA.
THE PRINCETON/BROWN SERIES
Princeton has won the last 15 meetings with Brown, seven of which were shutouts. This year a 4-0 shutout of the Bears at Hobey Baker Rink sparked the Tigers to a four-game shutout streak. Carly Bullock had a three-point game with three goals while MacKenzie Ebel and Karlie Lund had two apiece. With a hefty 47-25 edge in shots on goal, Neatby stopped all 25 shots while Calla Isaac had to stop 43 and allowed four.
