The Cavaliers took a 7-6 game into the locker room and the teams continued to go back and forth until seven minutes into the second half.
At that point Princeton was held scoreless for a span of 11:38 while UVa rattled off five straight goals to take a 14-8 lead. Princeton's McNulty was able to end the drought at 1:44 and Sears put away a Colby Chanenchuk pass to put the Tigers in double digits.

Â
"I felt like today offensively we just played individually and not as a team and that's not typical of how we play," head coach Chris Sailer said. "We made a lot of mistakes on the defensive end. We have to keep working to improve and hopefully this gets everybody's attention in the locker room. We have to get better at executing our game and we'll keep working hard to get better. Virginia is a great team; they are strong, tough and they go hard to the cage and they were a little more than we could handle today."
Princeton is back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Lehigh. Game time is at 6:30 p.m.
