Eye on the Tigers
The Tigers look to rebound from a 14-10 loss to Virginia from Saturday as Princeton is now 1-1 on the season and ranked No. 14 in the IWLCA poll and No. 16 in the Cascade Media poll. Freshman Kyla Sears has nine points on six goals and three assists, while junior Kathryn Hallett has scored seven times and sophomore Tess D'Orsi has six goals and one assist. On draws, senior Ellie McNulty has won 12 while freshman Marge Donovan has 10. Defensively junior Alex Argo has a team-high six caused turnovers and four ground balls and fellow defender freshman Mary Murphy has a team-best six ground balls. Senior Mary Kate McDonough has a .452 save percentage and a 9.81 goals against average in her two games.
The Series
Princeton has an 11-5 edge in the all-time series with Lehigh which dates back to 1978. The teams played nearly every year until 1993 with Princeton winning 11 of the 16 meetings.
Scouting the Mountain Hawks
Lehigh is 2-1 on the season, after opening with an 18-5 win over St. Bonaventure the team played two one-goal games falling to Penn State 14-13 before a 13-12 win at Columbia. Courtney Henig leads the offense with 15 points on seven goals and eight assists. Both Sondra Dickey and Julianne D'Orazio have scored nine times and have 12 and 10 points, respectively. The team is averaging 14.67 goals per game and has averaged 16 more shots than their opponent this season. Dickey is the team leader in draw controls winning 16 and has a team-high 10 ground balls. D'Orazio has 10 draws and and has caused the most turnovers, eight total. Samantha Sagi has played all but 13 seconds in goal and has made 28 saves on 59 shots for a .475 save percentage and a 10.35 GAA.
