Fencing Teams Net Seven Wins at Northwestern Duals

The Princeton fencing teams took on a tough slate of opponents Saturday at the Northwestern Duals, hosted this year by Notre Dame due to facility renovations at Northwestern.
The 12 matches netted Princeton seven wins combined between the men's and women's teams, with the men going 4-2, including a win over 10th-ranked Stanford, and the women splitting their six.
Senior saber Edward Chin led all Tiger fencers with a 17-4 record on the day, while sophomore épée Kasia Nixon went 15-3 to lead the Tiger women.

The Tigers will compete again next weekend when they host the Ivy League round-robins, which will determine the 2018 Ivy League champions. The Tigers will face Yale (10 a.m.) and Columbia (11:45 a.m.) Saturday and Cornell (10 a.m.), Penn (11:45 a.m.), Brown (2:15 p.m.) and Harvard (4 p.m.) Sunday.
