Princeton Set to Host Ivy League Round-Robins This Weekend

The defending Ivy League champion Princeton men's and women's fencing teams will host the Ivy League round-robins this weekend in Jadwin Gym with competition starting at 10 a.m. each day.
Admission is $8 for the weekend for adults and $5 each day with prices at $5 for the weekend and $3 for each day for children under 12 and students with valid ID. More event information can be found here.
On the men's side, Princeton went 4-1 to tie with Penn and Columbia for the title. Princeton's loss came to Columbia, while Penn lost to Princeton and Columbia lost to Penn. On the women's side, Princeton ran the table, going 6-0 to sweep for the team's seventh title in eight years and two in the last row.
This year's schedule has Princeton competing just twice Saturday, against Yale at 10 a.m. and Columbia at 11:45 a.m., before four matches Sunday, at Cornell (women only) at 10 a.m., Penn at 11:45 a.m., Columbia at 2:15 p.m. and Harvard at 4 p.m.
Among the current Tigers who have earned All-Ivy League honors are junior épée Wesley Johnson, who is the reigning league champion in his weapon as well as first-team honors last year and second team in 2016, senior saber Edward Chin, a first-teamer last year and a second-teamer in 2015, senior foil Thomas Dudey, a second-teamer in 2015 and first-teamer in 2016, senior saber Allison Lee, a second-teamer in 2016, junior saber Sage Palmedo, a first-teamer in 2016 and second-teamer in 2017, and sophomore Maia Chamberlain, a first-teamer in 2017. Head coach Zoltan Dudas is a three-time reigning women's Coach of the Year honoree.
The Tigers will have one regular-season competition after the Ivy round-robins and before the NCAA schedule begins, heading to the Temple Duals Saturday, Feb. 24.
