Tigers Make Second-Round Move in Myrtle Beach

No team in the General Hackler Invitational at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. took more off its score from the first round to the second than the Princeton men's golf team.
Princeton's second-round 292 was eight shots off the best score for Saturday's second 18 holes, and it has the Tigers in a tie for 12th at +17 entering Sunday's final round. The final round will begin at 8:30 a.m. Sunday and live results will be available via Golfstat here.
The field includes eight Golfstat top-40 teams among the 15 schools in the tournament. Georgia Tech, ranked eighth nationally by Golfstat, stands at -9, two shots in front of second-ranked Texas A&M.
Individually, Evan Quinn had a big second-round surge, turning in a five-under 67 to jump to a seventh place tie for the tournament at -2. LSU's Philip Barbaree stands at -5 to top the individual leaderboard heading into the final round, leading N.C. State's Stephen Franken and Georgia Tech's Luke Schneiderjans and Chris Petefish by a stroke.
