Tigers Keep Perfect Ivy Start Going, Sweep Weekend
April 08, 2018 | Women's Tennis
Continuing their perfect start to the Ivy League season, the 46th-ranked Princeton women's tennis team beat Columbia 6-1 Sunday in Jadwin Gym to stand at 3-0 in the league heading into next weekend's trip to Yale and Brown.
Princeton and Harvard (3-0) are now the only Ivy-unbeaten teams remaining after the league's first full weekend.
Wins from Nicole Kalhorn and Stephanie Schrage on court one and Sara Goodwin and Nathalie Rodilosso on court three delivered the doubles point for the Tigers, and then Katrine Steffensen, Gaby Pollner and Kalhorn won the first three singles matches off court to clinch the match. Clare McKee and Rodilosso added singles wins to get Princeton to six points.
The Tigers will visit Yale Saturday and Brown Sunday, both at 1 p.m., before the final Ivy weekend April 21-22 brings Harvard and Dartmouth to Princeton.
