Princeton Baseball In The Pros: Bowman Returns From Disabled List for Cardinals

PRINCETON, N.J. – Matt Bowman '14 returned from the disabled list for the St. Louis Cardinals and immediately helped out the team with two outings over the weekend.
The Cardinals put him to use on Friday and Saturday against the Chicago Cubs. The only batter to reach against Bowman was via an error as he punched out three in 2 2/3 innings.

Danny Barnes – Toronto Blue Jays – MLB – The reliever appeared in two games this week and did not allow a run. He earned his seventh hold of the season with 2/3 innings of work against the Washington Nationals on Saturday as the Blue Jays earned a 2-0 win. After going through a stretch of giving up a run in three of four games, Barnes has not been scored on in his last six outings.

David Hale '11 - Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders – AAA – Hale pitched into the sixth inning against the Syracuse Chiefs on Saturday, allowing just two earned runs. The former Tiger has given up two earned runs or less in his last four starts, lowering his ERA from 5.70 to 4.50.
