Princeton Posts 2018 Schedule

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton men's water polo team has released its 2018 schedule; head coach Dustin Litvak has announced.
"Our goal is to grow as a team and improve throughout the season in order to put ourselves in a good position at the end of the year," said Litvak. "We believe we have a schedule that will challenge us in various ways as we play some of the best teams from all over the country. I am very excited to begin this journey with the guys and the rest of our coaching staff."
Princeton gets the season started at the Navy Open (Sept. 1-2) with Johns Hopkins, Fordham and Navy. The contest vs. Navy (Sept. 2, 9 a.m.) will feature Litvak against former Tigers' head coach Luis Nicolao.
The following week, the annual Princeton Invitational gets underway (Sept. 7-9). The Tigers will battle Stanford (Sept. 7) and Santa Clara (Sept. 7), Cal Baptist (Sept. 8), Air Force (Sept. 9) and the defending national champion, UCLA (Sept. 9).
After a match at DeNunzio pool against Wagner (Sept. 19), Litvak's unit opens Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) action against MIT (Sept. 29), Brown (Sept. 29) and Harvard (Sept. 30). Princeton begins the road portion of conference play at St. Francis-Brooklyn (Oct. 3), MIT (Oct. 6), Harvard (Oct. 6) and Brown (Oct. 7).
The Tigers take part in the Crimson Invitational in the middle of October against the University of Toronto (Exh., Oct. 13), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Oct. 13) and Bucknell (Oct. 14).
Right before the California trip, the Tigers head on the road to Iona (Oct. 17). While at California, Princeton will take on UC-San Diego (Oct. 27), Whittier (Oct. 27), Loyola Marymount (Oct. 28), Pepperdine (Oct. 28), Pomona-Pitzer (Oct. 31).
The regular season concludes with two home matchups vs. St. Francis-Brooklyn and Iona on Nov. 3. The Northeast Water Polo Conference Tournament gets underway Nov. 16.
