Princeton No. 1 In Ivy League Preseason Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers are No. 1 in the Ivy League preseason poll, the conference announced today.
The 2017 conference champions took home 14 of the 16 first place votes, recording 126 voting points. Harvard picked up the other first-place tallies (112 points). Penn was third (87), followed by Columbia (75), Cornell (71), Yale (53), Dartmouth (35) and Brown (20).
Harvard and Princeton have split the last two meetings between with each squad earning a road victory. The Crimson won the conference crown in 2016. Prior to 2016, Princeton had won 22 straight against Harvard.
For the fourth straight season, the Tigers will get their season underway against No. 2 North Carolina on Friday (11 a.m.). Princeton begins 2018 with four straight games against ranked opponents including the home opener at Bedford Field against No. 3 Duke (Sept. 7).
