Princeton Summer Ball: Galvin Helps Ireland Advance In European Championship Qualifier

PRINCETON, N.J. – As the summer ends, Brendan Galvin has helped the Ireland National Team qualify for the next round of the European Championship.
Ryan Smith – Cape Cod League – Cotuit Kettleers – Smith threw four innings in his only outing of the week, giving up two runs in a 5-4 win over Falmouth yesterday.
James Proctor – New England Collegiate Baseball League – Mystic Schooners – Proctor pitched three frames in a start against Ocean State on Tuesday, scattering three hits.
Eli Kimbell - New England Collegiate Baseball League – Mystic Schooners – The 2018 co-winner of the Edward J. Donovan Award has 13 strikeouts in 10 2/3 innings this summer.
Andrew Gnazzo - New England Collegiate Baseball League – Danbury Westerners – Gnazzo appeared in one game, making it the sixth straight time he's not allowed a run.
Keith Gabrielson – Coastal Plain League – Wilmington Sharks – Gabrielson picked up a tough luck loss as he gave up one unearned run over two stanzas in a 1-0 loss to Holly Springs on Monday. He punched out five of the six outs he recorded.
Jack Anderson - Coastal Plain League – Gastonia Grizzlies – Anderson has 13 strikeouts in 14 2/3 innings for Grizzlies.
Chris Davis - Coastal Plain League – Holly Springs Salamanders – Davis came around to score a run in the Salamanders' 3-0 win over the Wilmington Sharks last Saturday.
David Harding – Valley League – TomSox – Harding has three RBI, two runs and a stolen base for the TomSox in eight games.
Sy Snedeker – Texas Collegiate League – Brazos Valley Bombers – The catcher's seven-game hitting streak came to a close, but he rebounded with two hits, an RBI and run scored in an 8-7 victory over the Cane Cutters on Tuesday.
Jake Boone – California Collegiate League – SoCal Catch – Boone finished his summer season with 13 runs, 11 RBI and one home run in 34 games for the Catch.
Conor Nolan – Futures League – Bristol Blues – Nolan has eight RBI and six runs scored in 14 games.
Connor Udell – Florida Collegiate League – DeLand Suns – Udell collected a save in game one of its playoff series against the Sanford River Rats. He snagged a double play ball in the eighth inning before getting the final three outs. The Suns would later advance to the Florida Collegiate League Finals with a series sweep (2-0).
Alex Dickinson – Florida Collegiate League – Sanford River Rats – Dickinson's summer season came to an end as his squad lost to Udell's unit in the playoffs. In 18 games, the catcher had 10 runs, three RBI and a .414 on-base percentage.
Brendan Galvin – European Championship Qualifier - Ireland National Team – Ireland won the C-Pool qualifier and will now move on to the European Championship B-Pool in 2019. Galvin had a .231 average for the team in three games.
