Princeton started off with three of the first four goals and took a 5-2 advantage into the second quarter. The Tigers kept the Crimson at bay as Harvard would only get within two. Head coach Dustin Litvak's group took an 8-4 lead into the break.

The Crimson's comeback continued as it held the Tigers off the scoreboard in the fourth stanza, tying the contest at 11-all with 1:06 left. Right before the end of regulation, Billy Motherway made a big stop on a five-meter shot to keep the game even.
