Princeton Jumps To No. 6 In National Coaches' Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers made a jump in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches' Poll to No. 6.

The Tigers opened the season with a close 1-0 loss to No. 2 North Carolina before taking down then-No. 14 Wake Forest, 4-0. Penn State, the Tigers' opponent tonight, are No. 5.

Connecticut remained No. 1 with 28 first place votes and 1,141 voting points. North Carolina sits at No. 2 (17 first-place votes, 1,1108 points) followed by No. 3 Maryland (two first-place votes and 1,053 points). Duke and Penn State round out the top five.

Grace Baylis earned Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, recording seven saves and a shutout in the squad's two games. Four different Tigers scored a goal in the victory over Wake Forest.
