One week after a historic top-5 finish at the 2018 Midlands Championships, the 25th-ranked Princeton wrestling team will travel to Lancaster, Pa., to compete in the 2019 David H. Lehman F&M Open this Saturday. Competition will begin at 9 am, and both live video/live results will be available through TrackWrestling (see links above).
Though there won't be team scoring in this event, the majority of the Princeton roster will compete in the one-day event against wrestlers from Brown, Campbell, Davidson, Harvard, Maryland, Millersville, Navy, and Sacred Heart in the final individual tournament of the season until the 2019 EIWA Championships, which will be held March 8-9 at Binghamton.
Princeton will enter the weekend with a 3-3 dual record, though the Tigers won three of their final four matches, including road victories at both Lehigh and Virginia. Princeton concluded the 2018 portion of the dual schedule with a 23-21 comeback win over Rider, and then the Tigers went to Chicago and picked up their first two individual Midlands champions, as well as a top-five team finish.
Following the F&M Open, Princeton will turn its attention to a huge home weekend, starting with a Friday night matchup against #15 North Carolina inside Dillon Gym. The next day, the third-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys will take on Princeton in a 1 pm match inside Jadwin Gym. You can purchase tickets to that match here.
