Tigers Advance in Singles, Doubles at ITA Regionals

Bill Duo moved on in singles play and Karl Poling and Damian Rodriguez advanced in doubles on the second day of the ITA Northeast Regional at Penn.
Duo beat Temple's Thibault Frumholz in three sets after Frumholz didn't surrender a game in the first set. Poling and Rodriguez, seeded 13th, defeated Colgate's Rohan Gupta and Nick Potter, 8-3.
Duo will be one of six Tigers competing in the singles round of 64 Saturday, along with ITA 73rd-ranked and second-seeded Karl Poling, 105th-ranked and fifth-seeded Ryan Seggerman, 15th-seeded Damian Rodriguez, Will Peters and Davey Roberts.
Poling and Rodriguez will aim to play two matches tomorrow, as Saturday will see the field trimmed to eight pairs. ITA 15th-ranked and second-seeded Holden and Seggerman, and fifth-seeded Justin Barki and Thomas Bosancic will begin their doubles competition after having a first-round bye Friday.
