No. 16 Fordham Defeats No. 18 Princeton, 11-10

BRONX, N.Y. – The No. 18 Princeton Tigers fell in a close top-20 matchup to the No. 16 Fordham Rams, 11-10, at Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon.
The home squad rolled off the first three goals of the contest, but the Tigers rallied to tie the contest at 3-all after eight minutes. Yurian Quinones, briefly, gave Princeton the lead, but Fordham tied it 17 seconds later. Keller Maloney tallied the next goal, but the Rams eventually took a 6-5 lead into halftime.
Fordham took a two-goal advantage with 6:37 left in the third stanza, but Princeton got tallies from Alec Mendelsohn and Maloney to even the matchup at 8-all. The Rams, again, held the advantage (9-8) as the fourth frame got started. The Tigers could not find the equalizer, trailing by one twice in the final quarter, but were held off the scoreboard for the final 2:24 of action.
