Poling Advances, All-Tiger Doubles Semifinal Set

Karl Poling, the ITA 73rd-ranked player in the nation, won twice at the ITA Northeast Regional at Penn Sunday to make Monday's quarterfinals, and an all-Princeton semifinal is set.
Poling, the draw's second seed, will face Harvard's seventh-seeded Ronan Jachuck in Monday's quarters.
Both Poling and doubles partner Damian Rodriguez and the ITA 15th-ranked doubles pair of Ryan Seggerman and Payton Holden won their quarterfinal matches Sunday to advance to the same semifinal Monday. While Holden and Seggerman hold the draw's second seed, the third seed, Vladislav Melnic and Eero Vasa of Cornell, fell in the round of 16 to Penn's Aditya Gupta and Harsh Parikh. Poling and Rodriguez then beat Gupta and Parikh in the quarters.
