Shvets Moves On to Main Draw Singles at ITA All-Americas

Brianna Shvets won her match Tuesday to advance to the main singles draw at the ITA All-America Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
Shvets defeated 104th-ranked Jessica Livianu of St. John's 6-3, 6-3 to advance, while teammate Daria Frayman, who won her first-round qualifying match Monday, fell to 79th-ranked Shiori Fukuda of Ohio State, 6-3, 6-4.
Shvets will take on fourth-seeded and ITA No. 5-ranked Kelly Chen of Duke Wednesday at 9 a.m. CT/10 a.m. ET to open main-draw play.
