Cooper Named NWPC Offensive Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Mitchell Cooper was honored as the Northeast Water Polo Conference Player of the Week, the Collegiate Water Polo Association announced today.
The sophomore was outstanding as the Tigers went 2-0 over the weekend against the Iona Gaels and the St. Francis-Brooklyn Terriers. He registered two goals and an assist as the Tigers took down the Gaels, 19-12. Cooper followed that with a career game, totaling six goals and three assists as Princeton defeated St. Francis-Brooklyn, 13-10.
Head coach Dustin Litvak's team finished the regular season at 15-14 overall and 7-3 in the NWPC. The Tigers clinched the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament and will take on the winner of Brown and Iona on Nov. 23.
