Fischer Wins NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional as Tigers Take Third

Princeton freshman Camren Fischer won the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional title Friday at Lehigh, breaking 30 minutes in the win.
Fischer clocked 29:58.8 to edge out Navy's Jake Brophy by 3.1 seconds, and his finish helped Princeton finish third and await the NCAA's announcement of NCAA Championship participants Saturday at 5 p.m. on NCAA.com.
Fischer is the first Tiger since Donn Cabral '12 in 2011 to win the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional.
Villanova won the team title with 37 points, 30 in front of Georgetown (67) and 45 in front of Princeton (82).
