DALLAS – The Princeton University men's tennis team had a strong final day, highlighted by Kabir Sarita winning his singles flight and Will Peters defeating a ranked opponent, Sunday at the Ralston/Neufeld Invitational hosted by Southern Methodist University.
"I was pleased with our effort and level of focus this weekend," said head coach Billy Pate. "We ended well today and I feel we made some positive strides while facing strong competition. Kabir had an excellent three days while winning his flight and Will had a great win today against a ranked player. I also liked many of the things we saw in doubles during the course of the event. We'll look to finish off the last week of our fall season in good form as we approach the last two events next week."
Sarita won the Blue Flight after defeating Lourenco Gasperini of Texas Junior College 6-2, 7-6. Will Peters also had an impressive day, taking down No. 37 Carles Sarrio Tamarit of SMU 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 in the consolation bracket of the red flight.
