Men's Hockey Skates By AIC, 2-1

PRINCETON – Now, that's how you go into a holiday break!
The Princeton University men's ice hockey team struck fast in the third period and Jackson Cressey's sixth goal of the season just 0:14 into the final frame broke a 1-1 tie and sent the Tigers into the break with a 2-1 win over American International College.
Cressey's goal came off a faceoff as Mike Ufberg intentionally shot wide with the carom finding Corey Andonovski to the right side of the cage. Andonovski slipped a pass through traffic to Cressey – who had won the draw – who banged home the eventual game-winner.
AIC struck first midway through the first period. The Yellow Jackets moved up ice in transition, and Austin Albrecht slipped a shot five-hole to give AIC a 1-0 leads with 9:42 remaining in the opening period. Jake Stella and Brennan Kapcheck had the assists.
Corey Andonovski netted his sixth goal of the season 4:03 into the second period to tie the game, 1-1. He didn't need much time on the ice during his shift to get the goal, as he came right from the bench to knock the puck off an AIC defenseman's stick in the neutral zone. The puck then caromed off Adam Robbins' stick and back to Andonovski whose offering from the circle went off the far post and in.
Andonovski finished with two points, the second time in three games he's had two points and his fourth multi-point game in 12 appearances this season.
Cressey's goal was his first in five games, but gives him points in three consecutive games after dishing an assist in each game last weekend.
Freshman Adam Robbins notched his first career point with his helper on Andonovski's goal.
Goaltender Jeremie Forget made 26 saves – including 12 in the first period – to record his first win of the season. Despite the heavy workload in the first, his biggest sequence came midway through the second with his team nursing a one-goal lead. He first made a stop on a shot from the slot before flashing his right pad to beat an AIC shot to the post on the rebound with 8:26 remaining in regulation.
