It is all ECAC hockey the rest of the way as Princeton begins a 16-game conference run with s home-and-home against Quinnipiac this weekend. The Tigers entered the holiday break on a high note following a 2-1 win over AIC on December 10 and are looking to ride that momentum into the final series of 2019.
FORGET ABOUT IT!
Sophomore Jeramie Forget has started the last two games in goal and made 51 saves while allowing three goals, stopping 94% of shots faced. He had 26 saves against AIC on 12/10 to record his third career win and first since a win at Brown on 3/2/19.
O'NEILL ON A ROLL
Christian O'Neill had scored a goal in three consecutive games before being held off the scoresheet against AIC on 12/10. He was the first Tiger since Max Veronneau (2/23-3/2/19) to hit the back of the net in three straight games. O'Neill's three goals and 8 points this season already surpass his 1 goal and six points from all of last season.
CRESS-MAN
Senior Jackson Cressey is tied for the team lead in points with 11 through 13 games. His seven assists lead the team, and he is the only Tiger to have scored on both the power play and penalty kill this season. After going three games without a point from 11/23-30, Cressey has now notched a point in each of his last three games, including the game-winning goal against AIC. With 105 career points, he is 15th on the Tigers' all-time list and he is one away from the No. 13 spot. He's eighth on the career assists list with 756 and is two away from tying for No. 6.
GRANDE PLANS
After going five games without a point, Liam Grande found his stride in Belfast and hasn't looked back. He had a four-game point streak snapped against AIC, but his eight shots over his last five games surpass the three he registered over his previous six.
KILLING IT
Princeton is 13-for-13 on the penalty kill over its last three games -- including a 7-for-7 night in the first game against Colorado College. Overall, the Tigers are 50-for-59 (85%) on the PK which is No. 15 in the country. Quinnipiac enters the weekend 8-for-64 (13%) on the power play which ranks No. 51 in the country.
POWERING UP
Princeton has scored a power-play goal in three of its last four games, and now has at least one PPG in 8-of-13 games this season. Corey Andonovski leads the team with three power play goals while Christian O'Neill and Derek Topatigh each have two.
ABOUT THE BOBCATS
Quinnipiac enters the weekend with a 7-7-1 overall record and a 2-3-1 record inside the ECAC. Most recently, QU split a series against No. 10 UMass with each team winning on the road. A 2-1 win in Amherst snapped a three-game losing streak for the Bobcats and was just the second win on the road in eight tries this season.
Junior Odeen Tufto leads the Bobcats with 13 points -- 12 of which have come via assists. Sophomore Wyatt Bongiovanni and senior Nick Jermain lead the team with six goals apiece. Senior defenseman Karlis Cukste has a goal and seven assists while fellow d-man Peter DeLiberatore has two goals and five assists
Junior Keith Petruzzelli has a 7-6-1 record in goal with a .910 save percentage and a 2.30 GAA.
