Men’s & Women’s Swimming & Diving Remain in First at Big Al Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's & women's swimming & diving teams continued to perform at a high level Saturday at the Big Al Invitational inside DeNunzio Pool as both programs maintained their spot at the top of the team score rankings.

The Tigers swept the 400 IM with Ellie Marquardt winning on the women's side with an NCAA B cut time of 4:14.50 seconds. Addison Smith and Regan Barney also both earned NCAA B cuts as they finished second and third with times of 4:16.01 seconds and 4:16.82 seconds. Raunak Khosla won the men's side with a time of 3:47.69 seconds, also an NCAA B cut.
Princeton also finished first in the women's 800 freestyle relay. The team of Marquardt, Nicole Venema, Addison Smith and Amelia Liu won the event in 7:14.84 seconds.
In the men's 100 butterfly Derek Cox would earn an NCAA B cut and finish second with a time 46.96.
On the boards, Sine Scribbick took first on the 1-meter board with an NCAA Zone cut score of 288.55. Sophia Peifer and Mimi Lin also earned Zone cuts, finishing second and third with scores of 285.25 and 276.10.
A pair of Tiger men also earned Zone cuts on the 3-meter board; Colten Young and Charlie Minns, who finished second and third with scores of 343.45 and 342.90.
