Mayer Leads Princeton Entering Final Round in Florida

Jake Mayer led Princeton through the first two rounds of the season-opening Florida Gators Invitational Saturday, standing tied for 15^th in the 85-player field in Gainesville, Fla.

The Tigers stand 12^th in the 15-team field. Vanderbilt, ranked third in the nation by Golfstat, leads at -3 with a five-shot margin over Liberty. Seven Golfstat top-50 teams are in the field, and six of those teams occupy the top six spots.

The Commodores' Will Gordon and North Florida's Phillip Knowles co-lead the field at -7 by two strokes over South Florida's Albin Bergstrom. Mayer is the top Tiger, standing at +1 through 36 holes.

Princeton will tee off between 8:45 and 9:21 a.m. from the 10th hole for Sunday's final round.
