Tigers Set to Open Spring Season This Weekend in Florida
February 11, 2019 | Men's Golf
A challenging 15-team field awaits the Princeton men's golf team this weekend when the Tigers open the spring season at Florida's Gator Invite on Gainesville's Mark Bostick Golf Course.
Thirteen of the 15 teams are in Golfweek's top 100, and two of those teams are in the top 25 with Vanderbilt seventh and North Florida 25th. Seven of the teams in the field are in Golfweek's top 50.
Princeton and the rest of the field, which includes Coastal Carolina, host Florida, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville, Liberty, Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, Southern Illinois, UCF, USF and West Virginia along with Vanderbilt and North Florida, will get going with an 8 a.m. shotgun start Saturday for 36 holes. The teams will tee off between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. from the first and 10th tees for Sunday's final round on the par-70, 6,701-yard course.
Live results will be available here.
Princeton played in four stroke-play events in the fall season, which wrapped up in mid-October with a title in the Georgetown Hoya Invitational and medalist honors to Evan Quinn.
Princeton's first three events of the spring will be in the Sunshine State, including on back-to-back weekends with the Tigers heading to Florida State's event next weekend.
