After Record-Breaking Weekend, Alarie Picks Up Ivy Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – In perhaps one of the easier decisions the Ivy League office has had to make …. Bella Alarie was picked as the conference's Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. She was also honored as Suburan Transit/GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week.

The Tigers went 2-0 in its first back-to-back Ivy weekend, improving to 2-1 in the conference.

Alarie had one of the greatest individual performances in Ivy League history against Columbia, scoring 45 points on 20-of-28 from the floor, while grabbing 14 rebounds, adding four blocks in 36 minutes.

Alarie was a six-time Player of the Week award winner last season, while earning nine Ivy Rookie of the Week honors and three more Player of the Week selections as a freshman. She is now third all-time in conference history in POTW accolades, trailing Allison Feaster '98 of Harvard (21) and 2019 Princeton Ivy Legend Niveen Rasheed '13 (14).
Princeton takes on Yale (Feb. 8, 6 p.m.) and Brown (Feb. 9, 5 p.m.). The game vs. Yale can be seen on NBC Sports Philadelphia + and be streamed on ESPN+. The Brown contest is National Girls and Women in Sports Day and can also be streamed on ESPN+. The 2014-15 undefeated regular season team will be honored at halftime of the Brown matchup.
