PRINCETON, N.J. – Bella Alarie has been named to the NCAA.com's Starting Five honors for the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5.
Â
The accolades have continued to mount for the 2018 Ivy Player of the Year after a remarkable weekend at Columbia and Cornell. Alarie was selected as the USBWA National Player of the Week yesterday and earned Ivy Player of the Week on Monday.
Â
Alarie set the Ivy League single-game records for points (45) and field goals (20) against Columbia on Friday. She was 20-of-28 from the floor, secured 14 rebounds and four blocks. Alarie also broke the program record for blocks. The junior is now just one of two players in Princeton basketball history to score at least 45 points in a game (Bill Bradley '65) while her 45 points are the most by an opponent (men or women) in Levien Gym history.
