Tigers Set to Begin NCAA Championships Thursday in Cleveland

The NCAA fencing championships begin Thursday in Cleveland, with Princeton's five men competing Thursday and Friday and sophomore saber Tatijana Stewart competing Saturday and Sunday.
Competition will begin Thursday at 9 a.m. for the men's foil fencers, at 11 a.m. for the épée fencers and 1:30 p.m. for the saber fencers. Friday, competition in all three weapons will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, the women's competition will follow the same schedule as the men's two days. Competition will take place at the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University.

Each fencer will compete in 23 bouts during the two days of competition, with each win contributing a point toward a school's total toward the NCAA team title, which is a combined men's/women's championship.
The top four of the 24 fencers in each weapon will compete in the individual title competition, which will begin at 1 p.m. Friday for the men and 1:30 p.m. Sunday for the women and will be streamed on ESPN3 (Friday link | Sunday link).
