Mimi Lin Set To Make NCAA Championships Debut Thursday
March 20, 2019 | Women's Swimming and Diving
After two injury-plagued years, junior Mimi Lin has made the absolute most out of the 2018-19 season. The Ivy League 3-meter champion and the 2019 High Point Diver at the championship meet, Mimi Lin will make her debut at the NCAA Championships Thursday morning at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas.
Lin grabbed one of the final qualifying spots from the Zone A Championships with a brilliant last dive, similar to the way she rallied in the last round to win an Ivy League championship last month, and will compete in the 1-meter preliminaries during Thursday's opening session at 10 am ET, 9 am local time. Should she qualify for the finals, those would be held Thursday at 6 pm ET, 5 pm local.
This is the second straight year a Princeton woman has qualified for the NCAA Championships. Sine Scribbick, the 2019 Ivy League 1-meter champion, qualified for NCAAs as a freshman in the 3-meter event.
