March 26, 2019 | Women's Golf
For the third consecutive year, the Princeton women's golf team will head to the Harvard Invitational, held this year at the Orange County National club in Orlando, Fla.
The last two years, the event was held at the Oaks Club in Osprey, Fla. Princeton won two years ago and finished fourth last season.
This time, Maya Walton, Tiana Lau, Anabelle Chang, Sophie Siminoff and Annie Kong will represent the Tigers while Emma Zhao will compete as an individual.
Play will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday for two rounds with the Tigers teeing off from the first tee at the Crooked Cat course through 8:40. Zhao will start on the 10th tee at 8:20. One round, beginning with a shotgun start at 8 a.m., is set for Sunday on the par-72, 6,163-yard course. The field will have a strong Ivy League flavor with six of the seven teams competing, including Brown, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton and Yale, along with Navy and Rollins.
The event will be Princeton's third tournament of the fall with the Match Madness event set for next weekend at Fox Hollow in Branchburg, N.J. and the Ivy League Championship two weeks after that at The Ridge at Back Brook in Ringoes, N.J.
