3-on-3 Schedule
PRINCETON, N.J. - USA Basketball has invited Bella Alarie to participate in the organization's 2019 3-on-3 National Championships.
Â
The 2019 3-on-3 National Championships for men and women will take place at the Las Vegas Events Center on May 3-4. The International Olympic Committee added 3-on-3 basketball to the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Â
In addition to the lure of a national championship, the event also will serve as the 2019 USA Basketball Men's and Women's 3-on-3 National Team trials. All athletes have the opportunity to be named to the 2019 USA Men's 3-on-3 World Cup Team and the men's and women's 2019 U.S. Pan American Games 3-on-3 Basketball Teams (July 27-29, Lima, Peru). Alarie was one of 12 athletes invited by the USA Basketball to this event.
 Â
Alarie was named a Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA) Honorable Mention All-American earlier this month. She is just the third Tiger to ever reach that milestone, but the first to do so after her junior campaign.
Â
The Bethesda, Md., native broke the team's single-season record for points per game (22.8) while her 210 field goals, 525 points, 65 blocks were the second most, her 408 field goal attempts were fourth highest and 10.6 rebounds were sixth. She became the first player since Ellen DeVoe in 1984-85 to average a double-double for an entire campaign. Some other accolades this year include a WBCA All-America Regional Finalist, Ivy Player of the Year, the Ivy Tournament Most Outstanding Performer and Ivy All-Tournament squad.
