Tigers Clinch Ivy Title Share, Will Host Yale Sunday
April 20, 2019 | Women's Tennis
Saturday in Jadwin Gym, the Tigers took the doubles point and the first three matches off court to beat Brown 4-0, with Nicole Kalhorn and Brianna Shvets winning on court one and Nathalie Rodilosso and Stephanie Schrage winning on court three to take the doubles point. Grace Joyce, Clare McKee and Shvets then won the first three singles matches off court to clinch the win.
With the win, Princeton's 6-0 record in the Ivy is one match better than Harvard's and two better than Yale and Penn, after Yale's loss to Penn Saturday. That means that Princeton has clinched the Ivy League's NCAA tournament automatic bid, as only the Crimson can catch the Tigers and Princeton has the tiebreaker with a win on April 7.
Sunday's match against Yale is set for 1 p.m. and will be in either Jadwin Gym or at the Lenz Tennis Center, depending on weather. If indoors, it will be streamed on ESPN3.
