Ivy Champs! By A Single Stroke, Men's Golf Team Wins Ivy Title

It was just four years ago that the Princeton men's golf team was on the other side of this exact scenario, with one stroke out of more than 800 deciding the Ivy League championship.
Sunday at Hidden Creek Golf Club in Egg Harbor, N.J., it was the Tigers' turn to breathe a sigh of relief, know that every shot did indeed count, and celebrate their 30th Ivy League title and first since 2013.
Evan Quinn led Princeton at +4, two strokes off James Nicholas' medalist-winning +2 for Yale. Sam Clayman, tied for third at +5, and Max Ting, tied for seventh at +7. Jake Mayer was the fourth Tiger, tied for 22nd overall at +12. All told, it added up to 875 strokes over three days, one fewer than Columbia's 876. Jack Roberts, the fifth Tiger at +14 and tied for 26th, eagled the par-5 17th hole for one of just five eagles on the tournament across all eight teams and all three rounds.
With the win, the Tigers have earned the Ivy League's automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals, and Princeton's regional site will be announced Wednesday, May 1 at 9 p.m. ET on the Golf Channel.
